TV Wraps is owned and operated by Son of Invention, LLC.  Son of Invention, LLC is primarily owned by me, Rodney Fluker, Jr.

Born and raised in Texas, I first received attention for my inventions in the second grade.  After winning a school wide invention contest called “Invent America” for the second year in a row, the Austin American Statesman decided to do a story on me.  They came to my school, pulled me out of class and took me to the library for an interview and some pictures.  When asked “what do you want to be when you grow up,” my answer was confident…”a ninja.”

I didn’t know I would be on the front page until the next morning.  I was eating oatmeal wearing He-man underwear in my parents room (don’t judge) and my dad ran in with probably 30 copies, smiling.  My teacher, Mrs. Smallwood, read the article to the class as I slinked in my seat…the “ninja” answer didn’t go over like expected.  I digress, the invention that was getting all the attention was called “The Sleepbelt.”  It was designed to allow passengers in the back seat of a car to lay down and connect a specially designed seatbelt in case of an accident.  The title of the article, and my business, “Son of Invention.”

In the years since then, I’ve gotten three business degrees and been researching a set of inventions I believe people will be interested in.  Once the business turns profitable, I will set up a scholarship in the name of my grandfather, Reverend Dr. Robert E. Hayes, Sr.  Ten percent of all profits will go towards a college education for underprivileged children.

The first of which is TV Wraps.  It’s something that God put on my mind and even though I know TV borders are getting thinner, I think I have identified some business markets that will make this venture worthwhile.  Besides, my TV still has a thick border and I’d venture to say many people share this with me.
